We sell beef by the "share" as part of our Community Supported Agriculture Program. You can purchase portions of an animal that we have raised and we will process it for you.

Pick from the following:

1. 1/10th Share "Freezer Pack" ($8.00/lb with a $25 deposit):
   Freezer Packs weigh 40-50 lbs, fits in a medium ice chest, and takes up over half of an
   average household freezer. Great for families or to split with friends and neighbors.
   Packs (pictured right) are not identical and on average contain: 
   
   1-2 package of filet 
   2 sirloin steaks 
   2 rib-eye steaks 
   2 New York strip steaks 
   2 packages of short ribs
   2 round roasts 
   1 chuck eye steak, cowboy, or flat iron (summer months) 
   1-2 chuck roast (more in the winter)
   2-3 packages of fajita strips and/or beef stew
   8-10 packages of ground beef 
   2 packages soup bones (cross-cut shanks)
   1 package of liver/heart (optional) 
   1 package of roasting bones (optional)
   
   
2. 1/20th Share "Mini Pack" ($8.50/lb with $20 deposit): 
   Mini packs weigh 20-25 pounds and can fit in an average freezer without undue rearranging.
   Same as the freezer pack, just half as many packages (You'll get either sirloin steaks or filet
   as there are only so many of these cuts per animal.) 
   
   
3. Custom Half ($7.50/lb. with a $50 deposit): 
   A half share weighs 175-200 pounds and yields significant savings (over $300 on average). Our in-house butcher will coordinate with you on specific cutting requests. We provide a cut sheet as a guide to help you through your custom order. 

Advantages of buying an instant share:
If you don't want to wait for your share, you can buy an instant share at the farmers' market (depending on availability of individual cuts). 
One of the lovely employees of Double Check will put together your order for you instantly, at only $0.25 extra per pound. 


Things to keep in mind:
It typically takes from 3-4 weeks for a share to be ready for delivery.
Don't forget, if you would like individual cuts immediately, they are available at a Farmers' Market.
